    YOU MUST GROW SPIRITUALLY

    Hello everyone,divine here .

    Today’s piece is going to be more of Bible studying and today we would be looking at the book of JOHN 14vs 12

    JOHN 14 vs 12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

    I would love you guys read that verse again and proceed with reading this piece.I was studying my daily devotional and I cracked something I have always asked myself

    JOHN14vs12: clearly explains that as a child matures,he or she would get to the point where parents can hand over some of their duties to him or her

    In the same vein,as we mature in Christ we are to start doing the work of Christ

    Reading this with the scripture pasted above the Holy Spirit made me understand that as believers and as followers of God we are to do the works Christ did and greater works indeed.

    Remembering all the things the followers of God did in the Bible,I thought to myself that if Moses could path the Red Sea with the help of God ,why can’t someone also do that now ?

    It’s a good question though because I know a lot of people might have asked themselves this kind of great questions

    With the help of the Holy Spirit it was well explained to me that what Moses did was considered a miracle to the people of Israel But to the Moses it was considered a great help from God (that is God helping his people)

    Another thing I got to understand was that the miracle was needed at that time so as to enable the Israelites move away from the Egyptian.God is too vast to show off that he is great for he is not a magician,he is God.

    Another point is that we don’t need to part the Pacific Ocean for it will be considered a show off. There is nothing to bring out of it

    The Holy Spirit then explained to me that do I know that when I help someone in need to that person it is considered a miracle but to me I’m just helping by doing the works of Christ

    That is also a miracle .God used the explanation of Moses parting the Red Sea to give me this hinge .God provided a solution to the situation on ground and this is considered a miracle.

    God didn’t necessarily remove the sea,but he made a way for them through it ,it is considered a miracle.

    Making or paving ways for people through situations and circumstances they are going through,it is also considered a miracle

    So before you go thinking that you have or can’t do nothing in Christ because you haven’t parted a sea ?!!

    Please know that Jesus expects us to do the work he did,and greater works indeed.

    Emphasis on the “greater” because he believes we can do more than what he has even done here on earth

    HEBREWS 5vs 12: For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

    Believe you can do all things through Christ that strengthen you

    this is an act of growing spiritually

    Hello everyone Divine here ,and I’m here with another interesting topic written with so much love

    Everyone wonders who they are at some point in their life’s .As a part of Gods church,you can not only know who you are -But who you can also be !!

    As a girl you ask yourself who am I right ?

    You know you have a relationship with God already but you still want to know where you stand in this world .

    Or. You feel you have backslide and you think God doesn’t have a purpose for you anymore?!!!

    It’s likely you have tried to answer that question yourself.

    You might see yourself as a born again,that good friend or always the nice person Etc.

    Whenever we look at ourselves there is a verse of the Bible we need to remember that is ( Jeremiah 17 vs 9). The heart is deceitful. The danger of using our hearts to understand ourselves is that it can make us a victim of self deception

    DECEPTION:a thing that deceives

    SELF DECEPTION:more of like self deceiving,when you force yourself to believe that a false feeling,idea is true

    To get a perfect look at who we are ,we are to look into the Bible .

    We have been told to use Gods word as a mirror to truly understand ourselves,how we are doing and how we need to grow .

    As a growing Christian we need to check ourselves and our actions .

    When we look at ourselves with the Bible we can see where we are and how we can improve through the presence of repentance

    (Acts 3vs 19)calls us to repent ye there of;and be converted that our sins maybe blotted out

    Girls I know this questions might have been rolling around your mind ?and trust me to give you an answer to them

    1)WHO CAN YOU BE??

    Girls let’s not go through life unaware with the potentials we carry as we have been made in Gods image

    GENESIS1vs 26-27)

    With that potential in mind,we should be working on developing his(Gods) character in our lives,exhibiting the fruits of the spirit.It may seem impossible but we can develop the character traits of God our creator (Mark10 vs 27)with God all things are made possible !

    *)Exhibiting the traits takes being all you can be in Christ .

    My dear girl,the Bible tells us in the book of Matthew 25vs 14-30 that we are called to lead a life of growth,not stagnation.

    FIND YOURSELF!!!!!

    Here are also 5 tips on how you can grow spiritually:

    1) PRAYER: The first step to developing Gods character is to ask God (James 1 vs 5).prayer is a very important attribute for any relationship with God .

    2) BIBLE STUDY: we said prayer is a way we communicate with God ,but bible study is also a way of fellowshiping with God .

    Studying Gods word is a way of building intimacy with God . God inspired the Bible to help in many aspects of our growth and development (2Timothy3 vs 16)

    3) FASTING: This might be easy for some and hard for some ,trust me I’ve been there .But you must understand the basics of this before doing it

    This is more than starving ,this is you abstaining from any distractions eg(social media) and spending time with God in the Holy Ghost .You identify your weakness when you fast

    And please note that fasting without spending time with God is just you starving yourself. Fasting is a Powerful tool in growing closer to God

    4)EXAMINE YOURSELF: we need to examine ourselves in order to find out where our weaknesses are . When you feel sick ,you examine your temperature then you go tell mummy right? But spirituals when you feel convicted in your spirit [that is you are aware of a wrong doing ] then you know what the problem is

    This is why our bible study is important, When you feed more on Gods word , you become more aware of your sins and you try to fix that through Gods help

    It is important to ask God in prayer to help us see ourselves honestly and not to sugarcoat our weaknesses. (Psalm 19 vs 12)

    5) MEDITATION: This is taking your time to fully digest what we learn from our prayers or word study .It brings stillness and clarity.

    Deep thoughts on a matter is often necessary for us to apply it in our lives

    Getting a journal helped me a lot on this one ,it shouldn’t necessarily be fancy ,just get a book and write down what you’ve learnt then reminisce on it with God

    The path to self discovery is not always easy, but it is the right path.

    – Take up the challenge of trying this steps

    –With God all the way, things get better
