    FOR MY CHRISTIAN TEENAGE GIRLS

Hello my name is divine and mostly what I do here is to enlighten you more on how to live a Christ like life but today we will be talking about something different

Growing up we’d be told what to do as a girl and becoming a lady , society puts up a standard for us making it hard for some girls and I saw this growing up.

Girls I wanna encourage you today .A life with Christ and a sparkle of encouragement might just do

Growing up you wanna be good enough, you wanna be noticed and you want to be seen and heard but don’t try sooo hard that you forget that you’re special and okay just the way you are

Before we jump into the Bible verses on these topics, I’d like to take a second to redefine the term self-esteem.

Self esteem is typically defined as confidence in one’s own worth or abilities.

As a Christian, I define self esteem as having confidence that I am who God says I am.

It’s not dependent on my own abilities (because those can be so unreliable!), but instead on knowing that God will equip me for the workHe has set out for me to do.

I know you say at times that IVE TRIED SO HARD BUT IM NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Don’t give in to that lie!

You are more than enough, but don’t take my word for it.

    1. Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

When you don’t feel like you’re good enough, it’s easy to want to blend in, hide in the back, and avoid bringing any attention to yourself.

But God commands you to be strong and courageous!

    2. Jeremiah 17:7

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
    whose confidence is in him.

Another question you find yourself asking is should you date ????????

The Bible doesn’t talk a lot specifically about dating. There is a reason for that. Dating is a very new practice in the history of humanity. The idea of choosing someone to go out and spend one on one time with outside of a marriage commitment is still very new. In biblical times, there was no “dating”. As a result, there is no passage that instructs specifically how Christians should handle the issue of dating.

    1. Your primary focus should be on your relationship with God. Dating can distract you.

    2. You place yourself into unnecessary temptation and sin. Dating can defile you.

    3. You don’t have the spiritual maturity and refuse to guard your heart. Dating can damage you.

    4. You affections for your date is greater than your affections for God. Dating can deceive you.

There is another question. Should I wait ???? Is waiting on God good ????

If you’re a Christian teen, odds are you’ve wondered how dating and sex fit into God’s plan for your life – which is great! It’s so important that we wrestle with topics like this, and make sure that we’re honouring God with our whole lives.

    1. God Wants You to Wait for The One Not By Remaining Still But Rather By Following Jesus

Waiting often implies sitting, stopping, and relying on others to come to you. But this is not a biblical view when you are waiting for a blessing that only God can give you.

    2. God Wants You to Wait for The One By Choosing Not to Date Someone You Already Know Is Not The One

    3. God Wants You to Wait for The One By Abstaining from Emotional and Sexual Promiscuity

Lastly I’ll add more to this by reminding us to encourage ourselves always

    Timothy 4:12

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

The teenage years can be difficult and lonely as most teens struggle to fit in and take on new responsibilities.

But remember that you are beautiful, smart , you’re light gurllll you need to shine Remember always that God loves you and whenever the world is trying to put an end to that shine ,turn to the word .Gods word is alive and he has made promises for us

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Love DIVINE

  • DISTRACTION

    DISTRACTION

Hello everyone,Divine here again ,it’s been a while .A lot has been going on but I also had time to write down how my daily life affects and impacts my life as a Christian

I wrote this piece when I took time to meditate on a scripture I read that in ROMANS 12 vs 2

Distraction is a major concern as a Christian in the world we are today and if you’re asking what kind of distraction ,you would find out soon

We know distractions turns our our attention away from something we want to concentrate on.

And this is what the devil wants for us .Satan love’s distracted Christian’s . He doesn’t care what that thing is ,as long as it’s turning your attention away from God he is soooo good with it .

But the question here is how do we stay spiritually focused in a distracted world :??????

In the world we are today our brains are being trained to crave distraction and if we are not careful,we can become disconnected from our creator .

Even if there is a moment to slow down and seek our creator we tend to distract ourselves instead of giving our attention to God .

JOHN 10vs 10,(ALL SATAN HAS TO DO IS TO ACCOMPLISH HIS GOAL TO DISTRACT US AND WHEN HE DISTRACTS US ,WE BECOME DISCONNECTED FROM OUR CREATOR.

As Christians there are certain ways we can help ourselves not to get distracted:

1)PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU’RE PAYING ATTENTION TO

As Christian’s we must be very careful of what we are giving our attention to because what we give our attention to is what we become discipled by . That is what fills our minds ultimately fills our hearts ROMANS 12vs 2

NOTE;We ask for the spirit of discernment but we do not renew our minds PROVERBS 4vs 23 tells us to guard our hearts above all else for it is the source of life .

    2)CREATE BOUNDARIES AND CONSTRAINTS

When it comes to guarding what is valuable in our lives,we set up boundaries and constraints to make sure those valuables are safe

In this way ,we need to set up boundaries and constraints in our lives to protect ourselves from ourselves. JEREMIAH 17vs9 tells us that “The heart is more deceitful than anything else and incurable “

“People don’t drift towards holiness,we drift towards disobedience “.

We forget that our greatest enemy is the flesh and we carry it everywhere we go ,the flesh is in enmity with God. Why then do we obey the flesh .

This is why we do not drift towards spending time with God ,we drift towards distraction and letting other things fill our minds .

3)SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE

ROMANS 12vs 2,paul tells us “Not to be conformed to this age ” but we cannot accomplish this by simply protecting our attention .we must begin to focus on the right things

This is why he goes to say “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind “

SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE ,NOT ON EARTHLY THINGS .

We battle distraction this way by being enamored by the things of heaven,to begin to crave spending time with God .

Some simple ways you can take control of what you give your attention to :

1)Turn of push notifications, especially on days when you want to study your bible

2)set screen time limits ,we spend most of the time on our phones making our phones control what we give attention to and even our time

3)Take regular breaks from social media.we know how unGodly things are rampant now on social media and we know that most people use social media for business and other important things but we can take breaks on certain days and pay attention to things that also matters

4)Cut off people who are of bad influence to you .please do not hate them but you can choose to love people from a distance. The bible tells us to walk with people whom we both share the same faith ,to avoid backsliding we must ensure that we move with the right set of people as we know “Iron sharpeneth iron “

    5) let go of secular musics ,pay attention to what you’re being discipled by.what is in the lyrics of the songs you’re listening to .

NOTE: In an ever-distracted world ,the way we stay spiritually focused is to set our minds on things above .

I hope this piece gets to everyone out there .God will help us all over our fears of being distracted in the age and time .
